I am a data scientist and engineering manager at Posit PBC where I lead a team of developers building fluent, cohesive open source software for data science in R and Python. I am a tool builder, author, international keynote speaker, and real-world data science practitioner. I hold a PhD in astrophysics and have written books with my collaborators about text mining, supervised machine learning for text, and modeling with tidy data principles.
